A wildfire near Lake\u00a0Berryessa is burning through Yolo County on Monday afternoon, sending large clouds of smoke into the air.<\/p>

The fire\u00a0started at 11:34 a.m. and\u00a0is located near the Solano County and Yolo County line, along Highway 128 and west of Winters, according to Cal Fire.\u00a0As of 2:20 p.m., the blaze, which has been named the Putah Fire, has reached 300 acres. There are 10 fire engines on the scene and the fire has no containment, according to Cal Fire.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>

Footage from\u00a0UC San Diego\u2019s ALERTCalifornia\u00a0cameras and photos from Cal Fire show smoky skies over the fire. In a post on X, Cal Fire described the fire as \u201cburning uphill in light and flashy fuels.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/div>

A prescribed burn was scheduled to take place in the same area of the fire, according to Cal Fire\u2019s X account; the agency did not confirm whether the Putah Fire originated from the prescribed burn.\u00a0<\/p>

According an alert from the Napa County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Highway 128 near Monticello Dam is closed in both directions.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>
