A person was shot in a parking lot near\u00a0Westfield Valley Fair mall in San Jose in a suspected road rage altercation, police said.\u00a0<\/p>

On Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting on the 2800 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. Though authorities did not disclose exactly where the shooting occurred, the location is close to a\u00a0Bloomingdale\u2019s, a Bank of America,\u00a0several eateries and\u00a0Santana Row, a popular\u00a0shopping area.<\/p><\/div>

When police arrived on the scene, they found a person with at least one gunshot wound. The person was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, SJPD said.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>

Police believe a \u201croad rage incident\u201d is what led to the shooting. Authorities recovered a firearm and\u00a0arrested a suspect found in the area, the statement said.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>

Some Reddit users said that the shooting happened near the Bank of America and caused a temporary lockdown at Valley Fair. SJPD did not confirm those details to SFGATE. \u00a0<\/p>
